Event details

Tue, 05/06/2018 - 11:00am - 3:00pm

A friendly indoor session covering water vole biology, field signs and survey techniques. Learn about the Restoring Ratty project and how you can get involved in Redesdale. Put your knowledge into practise with a field trip to look for signs of recently released water voles and maybe even see one!

Please bring a packed lunch, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear—ideally wellies, and binoculars and waders if you have them. There will be some walking over uneven/wet ground. Bring a stout stick if you think you may find this useful.

Booking is essential.

No dogs please.

This event is suitable for ages 14+. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please be aware that if the weather has been wet then we are likely to see very little evidence of water voles on the field trip as evidence will have been washed away.

This is a joint Revitalising Redesdale Landscape Partnership and Restoring Ratty event. They are supported by The National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. To find out more see: www.revitalisingredesdale.org.uk and www.nwt.org.uk/RestoringRatty
