What a load of rubbish!
Monday 12th September 2011
Sixteen residents of all ages from Horton Burn, Northburn in Cramlington joined forces with Emma Pearson People & Wildlife Officer with Northumberland Wildlife Trust and cleaned up the nearby Horton Burn.
In two hours, the residents collected enough rubbish to fill 15 massive plastic sacks, not to mention, pulling out two toy scooters, a large roll of carpet, a doll’s pram and a shopping trolley - no mean feat!
The clean up event was organised by the Environment Agency’s Living Waterways Project.
