As 2011 starts heading towards 2012, Northumberland Wildlife Trust would like to thank the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery for all their support throughout a very difficult and financially challenging 2011.

Steve Lowe, Head of Conservation at the Trust said: “When it comes to support, there has been none greater than that provided by the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery - they really are amazing!

“Their money helped us to finally confirm the presence of the very rare pine marten in Kidland Forest in Northumberland and is helping us in our work to protect the even rarer dormouse in a number of other Northumberland forests.

Steve concluded: “All our reserves be they big, small, coastal, wetland, upland, urban and of international and national importance, have all been helped by money received from People’s Postcode Lottery, so please keep playing - you really are our conservation champions.”
