Forget Cash in the Attic! Northumberland Wildlife Trust is on the hunt for unusual wildlife objects which may be lurking in attics around the region from days gone by.
The Trust is hoping to stock up on animal skulls, teeth, bones, birds nests, feathers, furs, dried flowers, leaves - in fact, anything which could be used in schools by our Conservation and People & Wildlife teams.
Steve Lowe, Head of Conservation at the wildlife charity said: "Last time we sent out a request for unusual objects, we were amazed at what we were offered, with items ranging from fur coats to massive stag's heads on mounted plinths coming through our doors - it was very interesting!"
"Unfortunately, many of the items have disintegrated over the years due to constant handling by curious people, hence our need to re-stock our shelves."
So, if you have an interesting item which you no longer want, please contact us on 0191 284 6884.
All items must be native to this country and legally collected.
