Wildlife charity guarantees a good time this July!

July promises to be a good month for school kids thanks to Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s 'wild' events at Jesmond Dene and Weetslade Country Park, both on the outskirts of Newcastle.

Tuesday 24 July, 1.00pm - 3.00pm, Jesmond Dene
Water Safari: explore the murky depths of Jesmond Dene pond and discover what creatures live there. First session 1.00pm, second session 2.00pm. No booking required; all children must be accompanied by an adult (recommended minimum age 5); suggested donation £2.50 per child.

Thursday 26 July, 1.00pm - 2.30pm, Jesmond Dene
Nature Trail: become a wildlife explorer as you trek through Jesmond Dene. Session begins at 1.00pm prompt and lasts for approximately 90 minutes. No booking required; all children must be accompanied by an adult (recommended minimum age 5); suggested donation £2.50 per child.

Tuesday 31 July, 1.00pm - 2.30pm, Jesmond Dene
Raft race: build and then race your own raft. Session begins at 1.00pm prompt and lasts for approximately 90 minutes. Booking required - contact Laura Lowther at Northumberland Wildlife Trust on: 0191 284 6884 to secure a place. All children must be accompanied by an adult (recommended minimum age 5); suggested donation £2.50 per child.

Tuesday 31 July, 1.00pm - 3.00pm, Weetslade Country Park
Nature Trails: drop in for one of two sessions and become a wildlife explorer as you trek through Weetslade Country Park. No booking required; all children must be accompanied by an adult (recommended minimum age 5); no toilet facilities on site. This is a free event, sponsored by The Land Trust which owns the Country Park.
