Go wild in the garden!

Join Northumberland Wildlife Trust for a great day out in its Gosforth garden on Saturday 14 July!

The Wildlife Garden Festival, which runs from 12.00pm - 4.00pm, is being held at the Trust’s St Nicholas Park Reserve, in the grounds of St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth; it is one of many events taking place nationally over the course of the weekend to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wildlife Trust movement. The whole event is being supported by People’s Postcode Lottery.

There will be something for all the family to enjoy including:

  • Wildlife gardening demonstrations with Dobbies
  • Face painting

  • Bird-box making
  • Bird food making

  • Country craft stalls
  • Pets Corner
  • Beekeeping workshop and quiz
  • Meet a real barn owl
  • Meet the Flexigraze sheep and sheep dogs

  • Plant sales
  • BBQ, cakes, refreshments and tombola
  • Live music

The event is free entry, but donations are very welcome.

Regular buses run to Jubilee Road and the nearest metro station is Regent Centre. The event will be cancelled if it rains.
