What we do

Services fall in to the following categories:

  • Surveys and monitoring (including great crested newts, badgers, bats, otters and birds)
  • Development and wildlife
  • Planning for wildlife
  • Aquatic ecology
  • Habitat creation and land management
  • Education, training and consultations

Wide area coverage and specialist skills

With an operating area that covers the whole of the North East of England, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders, EcoNorth is able to call on over 15 professional ecologists and land management specialists at the Trust together with a network of associates and partners. We are also now a member of the Association of Wildlife Trust Consultancies (AWTC) which means we can access a nationwide network of ecological consultants, if required.

Professionals with a difference

One distinction that we can make from many other ecological consultancies is our ability not only to undertake a wide range of surveys and advise you on ecological issues, but also to help design and implement the practical aspects of land management and development to improve the environment for wildlife and people.
