Welcome to the Northumbria Mammal Group. If you are interested in mammals and their conservation, then this could be for you! Linked to the Wildlife Trusts in the North East and the Natural History Society of Northumbria, the group is small yet very active, offering a range of activities including:
• Summer field meetings
• Mammal walks, talks and lectures
• Participation in local and national surveys
Membership is open to anybody who supports the aims of the group, though you should be either a member (or happy to become a member!) of Northumberland Wildlife Trust, the Natural History Society of Northumbria, or the local badger or bat groups. Our membership costs £5 annually (£2.50 concessions) and members receive a quarterly newsletter, an invitation to the AGM, and of course, the opportunity to become involved!
If you would like to know more, would like to join or would simply like to tell us about your mammal sightings, please contact Veronica Carnell on (0191) 213 2647.
