Great North Run 2017

Do you have what it takes to take the challenge of the Great North Run and make a difference for local wildlife?

The Great North Run, was first staged in 1981 where just over 12,000 people took part. This year, the world's biggest half marathon took place on Sunday 10 September and taking an estimated 57,000 participants on a 13.1 mile journey from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne to the coast in South Shields.

Thank you so much to all our amazing runners for taking on the challenge in 2017 - we are so grateful! And thank you to everyone that supported through sponsorship or by cheering on the birght green badger t-shirts on the day. There is still time to show your support via our fundraising pages. We're working hard to collect in all our runner's sponsorships and we hope to confirm the final figure raised from this year's effort in the coming weeks. Watch this space!
