For companies wanting to benefit from a deeper association with the Trust, there are plenty of opportunities for partnership working. We can tailor bespoke solutions to fulfil your business, community and environmental objectives and would be happy to discuss exactly what would be right for your company.
We offer a comprehensive Corporate Membership scheme, but recognise that relationships form in many different ways. Whatever the size of your organisation or the level of commitment you can give, we can work together to make a difference to the region’s wildlife.
Below are just some of the different ways that your company could choose to support us:
Environmental Conservation scheme for golf clubs
The Wildlife Trusts are trying to promote the concept of connected landscapes (‘Living Landscapes’) so that wildlife has room to move and adapt to change. Since golf clubs control a considerable amount of land and have many members, we believe you can become a powerful force in helping nature.
We would like to seek your views to validate and refine the scheme so that we can seek funding for pilot testing and potentially its subsequent launch in 2014. We would be grateful if you could complete this questionnaire on behalf of your golf club as soon as possible.
Wildlife work days
Are you looking for a one-off volunteering opportunity for a group of employees getting involved in practical nature conservation? Contact us about our wildlife work days.
1% for the planet
Why not consider becoming members of 1% for the Planet, an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet. Companies can give 1% of sales/profits to environmental organisations like NWT.
Cleaners for Causes
At Cleaners for Causes, they like to make a difference. Every time you send your dry cleaning or laundry to them, they donate 15% of what you spend to one of their charity partners. As one of their charity partners, NWT can receive donations when you send your dry cleaning or laundry to them. Visit their website to find out more!
Charity of the year
You could make a long-term commitment to supporting the Trust by nominating us as your company's charity of the year - making a real difference to our work protecting and conserving the region’s wildlife.
Contract work
Choosing us as your preferred provider of land management advice and/or taking advantage of our in-house environmental consultancy service, EcoNorth, is a great way of supporting the Trust by investing in our future.
Company donations
One of the easiest and most effective ways to support our work is through a company donation. You can choose to support a specific project or area of work, or we will allocate your donation to where money is most needed.
Appliances Online made a donation of £80 to our Red Squirrel Appeal.
Gifts in kind
Supporting the Trust by supplying goods, discounted services or professional advice is another easy and valuable way for your business to help.
Events
If you already organise events for your company, why not make Northumberland Wildlife Trust the beneficiary?
Staff fundraising
Employee fundraising is a great way to motivate staff and encourage teamwork throughout your organisation. We can help out with advice, ideas and resources to make sure your fundraising goes with a bang.
Recycling
Old mobile phones and spent ink cartridges can be recycled, through 'Recycling Appeal', to generate funds to support vital conservation work in your local area. We also receive a donation for any old and unwanted jewellery - all jewellery, whether brand new or broken, is recycled and reduces the demand for raw materials, thereby reducing mining and quarrying worldwide.
Recycling IT for wildlife
Absolute Networks are supporting the Wildlife Trusts by offering a free IT recycling service, and has raised close to £15,000 for wildlife. They collect unwanted IT equipment free of charge, debadge the equipment and prepare it for sale (also providing a full data destruction service). All waste equipment is disposed of ethically in the UK, and any profits they make upon resale of your equipment can be donated to a Wildlife Trust of your choice. Read more
Payroll giving
Payroll giving is a straightforward and tax efficient way for your employees to donate direct from their salary, and enables everybody in your company to make a personal contribution to our charity.
Matched giving
Making donations that match the contributions of your employees is a great incentive for getting staff involved as well as potentially doubling the amount of money that could go towards protecting local wildlife.
Cause-related marketing
A cause-related marketing partnership with the Trust offers real commercial benefits to your company while raising much needed funds to enable us to continue our vital work.
Sponsorship
Sponsoring a Trust event, publication or resource is a highly effective way of differentiating your brand from competitors and connecting with targeted audiences, from customers and clients to staff and shareholders.
For an informal chat about any of the above, or to discuss your own partnership ideas, please contact our Development Team on (0191) 284 6884 or mail@northwt.org.uk.
