Local Fundraiser

Salary: Two options available, commission based or hourly rate

Location: Vacancies throughout Northumberland / Newcastle / North Tyneside

Are you passionate about the region’s wildlife and looking to earn some extra income by doing something that you really believe in? Would you like to help Northumberland Wildlife Trust achieve its aim of finding new members in your local area and beyond? If you enjoy walking and have around 16 hours a week to spare, primarily during weekday evenings, then we would love you to become a Local Fundraiser.

In your local area, you will be working for FMR Solutions Ltd, a well-established specialist wildlife charity membership recruitment agency, on behalf of the Northumberland Wildlife Trust. The work is generally seasonal, from March until the end of October. However, some of our Local Fundraisers also work through the winter months. As you'll use the unique 'Soft Approach' method, there is no selling or persuading involved.

  • Outdoor work, involving walking 
  • Travel by car or bicycle in the local area will be required
  • We need Local Fundraisers to start asap, but start date is negotiable
  • No selling involved
  • Training given




1. Hourly rate + bonus (16 hours a week, primarily weekday evenings) leading to average £9.50 per hour / £659 per month (temporary, part-time employee).


2. Generous commission - expect average of £63 per membership transaction on a self-employed/freelance/flexible basis. Potential earnings around £800 - £1300 per month (based on working approx. 16 hours a week/achieving 3-5 sign ups a week).

The Northumberland Wildlife Trust is registered with the Fundraising Regulator.
