Walk on the wild side this half-term

Thursday 1st February 2018

Northumberland Wildlife Trust is encouraging anybody with an hour to spare this half-term to sign up for a guided family wildlife walk around its Hauxley nature reserve.

At this time of year, with so many different species of birds to spot including pink footed and greylag geese, widgeon and over wintering birds from Scandinavia such as blackbirds and winter thrushes, walkers will not be disappointed as they make their way around the Druridge Bay site.

There are four sessions to choose from including two on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14 February (11:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 2:00pm) and Friday 16 February (11:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 2:00pm) and, whichever session selected will be the perfect opportunity to ask questions and learn more about local wildlife
