Adopt an owl

From just £15

An adoption is symbolic, meaning you won't be adopting an individual animal. Instead, your purchase helps fund Northumberland Wildlife Trust's important conservation work in both urban and rural locations, protecting and restoring wildlife and wild places across the region.

Our owls are declining at an alarming rate

For example, the tawny owl, just one of the five beloved owl species in the UK, has seen a sharp decline in numbers with a fall of over a third since 2000. Since 2015 it has been added to the Amber List on the Birds of Conservation Concern report after more recent breeding and winter population declines. Likely factors include loss of woodland habitat and suitable trees for nesting.

We are committed to restoring nature. We are creating 30% more space for nature, which will give wildlife more space to adapt, recover and thrive.

By adopting an owl today with Northumberland Wildlife Trust, your donation will go towards important conservation work in the region such as managing nature reserves and improving habitats to create a better future for wildlife.
