Throughout all trials and tribulations of 2020, Northumberlandia aka The Lady of the North, has kept a watchful eye over the reserve on Blagdon Lane.

Now, as 2020 draws to a close and certain restrictions are lifted, Northumberland Wildlife Trust is delighted to be able to host its popular festive quiz trails on the Cramlington reserve for the second year running.

For just £2.00, from Saturday 5th December - Sunday 3rd January (2021) between 10am - 3pm, nature lovers of all ages can take part in the self-led festive trail through the woodland - it’s a great way to shake off the bad news of 2020 and an even better way to welcome in 2021.

All that is needed is a mobile phone to download the PDF of the trail, a Santa hat, reindeer ears, elf outfit or Christmas jumper before heading off on the trail through the woodland finding answers to questions hidden in logs of wood along the way.

For more information and to download the PDF visit: www.nwt.org.uk/events

The Visitor Centre café will be open 10am - 4pm serving its fabulous mugs of fancy hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows, caramel and gingerbread lattes, Christmas cake bites, chocolate log slices and festive pudding cookies not to mention those timeless favourites - mince pies.

And, if that wasn’t enough, the wildlife charity is set to launch a colouring competition which will run from Monday 30 November - Monday 28 December.

The competition, featuring Northumberlandia's Christmas Swans (pictured below), is free to download from the Northumberlandia Facebook page.

Entries will be judged by Northumberlandia’s social media followers, with the best submission winning a hot chocolate and pudding cookie for up to five members of the winner’s family and the chance to see their winning entry featuring in the 2022 Northumberlandia Calendar!
