On Saturday 9 February, the North East based School of Mindfulness will be hosting an event at the wildlife charity’s Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre on Druridge Bay, between 10:00am to 3:30pm.

A Day of Mindfulness is being led by Michael Atkinson, Director of the School and is open to everybody - from somebody who is new to mindfulness meditation and just wants to dip their toe in the water, to people who have prior mindfulness experience. Whatever the level, they will find the day calming and energising.

Speaking about the event, Alex Lister, Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s Living Landscapes Manager for Druridge Bay said: “When our Wildlife Discovery Centre was opened in June 2017, we wanted to host a range of new events which hadn’t been run before and which you would not associate with a nature reserve.

"Needless to say, I’m delighted to be welcoming the School of Mindfulness to the Wildlife Discovery Centre in February and also at the end of March, so who knows, it could be the start of a great partnership.”
