Splash the cash for wildlife this Christmas

Anybody dreading the thought of endless queues in the shops this December with Christmas jingles vibrating around their ears, should look no further than Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s online shop, where there’s something for everybody - whatever their age.

People can shop from the comfort of their favourite chair and not even venture outside by visiting www.nwt.org.uk/shop and checking out the fabulous range of wildlife related products including beautiful calendars and cards, books, bags and soft toys.

The shop is taking orders until Thursday 16th December, so make sure to order now for Christmas delivery!

If anybody is stuck for what to buy someone who has everything, why not splash out on a Christmas Gift membership in support of the wildlife charity or Red Squirrels Northern England (RSNE), which works tirelessly to protect the region’s wonderful red squirrels?

From £36 per year (or £3 per month), anybody signing up for a Northumberland Wildlife Trust membership will receive a fantastic membership pack which includes the new Reserves Guide and their name on the list for Trust’s glossy 36 page magazine three times a year.

This year, there’s an added membership bonus. In support of UK insects under threat, a Wild Bee action pack - which includes a special bee pin badge, a gardening for bees booklet and packet of wildflower seeds - will also be included. But hurry!  Packs must be purchased by Tuesday 14 December to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.

And let’s not forget the region’s wonderfully cute red squirrels. Take advantage of the RSNE Christmas offer, which runs until Tuesday 14 December.

Priced from £30, the Christmas bumper pack includes a squirrel bag, origami red squirrel and membership certificate, a copy of The Squirrel by Fiona Lunn (worth £15.00) and squirrel bookmark.

Alternatively, there’s a greener way to send a message this Christmas. Anybody can donate the amount they’d spend on a paper card to the Trust. It's easy, fun and a great way to support the region’s wildlife & wild places. Visit www.dontsendmeacard.com/ecards/charities/northumberland-wildlife-trust No amount is ever too small.
