For the first time, the wildlife charity is offering everybody the opportunity to learn how to create and decorate his or her own luxury Christmas wreath. Using fresh winter foliage source locally in Northumberland, wildlife lovers will learn the skills needed to make a traditional moss based wreath and create a wonderful feature for a door.

There are two sessions at the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre on Sunday 15 December at 10:00am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 4:00pm.

Speaking about the event, Jenna Berry Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre Visitor Experience Officer says: “Hauxley reserve is especially magical at this time of year, so what better way to start your countdown to Christmas than by walking round the reserve, collecting wintry items for your very own unique door wreath and then making something unique.

“In addition, our Christmas scones and beverages will be available in our Lookout Café throughout the day for anybody wanting to escape the frantic hustle and bustle of shopping centres and high streets at this time of year.”

Priced at £40, which includes free parking, tea and coffee, the event is suitable for ages 16+ (an adult must accompany under 18’s).
