On Tuesday 28 May, between 11:00 - 12:00 and 13:00pm - 14:00, the wildlife charity is challenging children and their friends to construct a den in the woods to shelter themselves from the natural elements. Priced at £3 per child, it is a great way for parents and children to test their outdoor skills.
Join Lynette Friend, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Events Coordinator, again on Thursday 29 May, between 11:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 14:00 to learn how to make a bird box using one of the natural kits provided, then take the box home and observe over time, whether a feathered friend takes up residence. This event is suitable for children aged 8 years and above and there is a charge of £8 per child, which includes the kit.
The Trust’s drop-in events can be very popular so arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time to avoid disappointment, as places are limited.
