About the event

Swifts are amazing birds that make the journey from the Savannas and forests of Equatorial and Southern Africa to our city and others.

The walk will be lead by Adam Raitr who is a local swift expert and is leading the charge with swift surveys in Newcastle this year.

Meeting outside Gosforth Traders at 21:00, we will walk to local swift streets where our swifts are nesting, hopefully catching them as they emerge for the night and fly above us feeding on insects and returning to the meeting point for 22:30.

Everyone is welcome, children must be accompanied.
