All welcome at Hauxley drop-in event
The £750,000 Biodiversity Boost Project which was made possible by a grant from the Species Survival Fund, in partnership with Defra and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to increase and enhance habitats across the wildlife charity’s Hauxley, East Chevington and West Chevington sites over the past 18 months.
During that time project staff have restructured woodland and reedbeds, rewiggled the Chevington Burn, created a wildflower meadow, and delivered a range of public events from bird walks to Meadow Mayhem, with enormous success.
Now, on Wednesday 10th December visitors to the reserve will be able to watch a series of short films made by Collingwood School and Media Arts College in Morpeth, view before and after photos of the work carried out and learn about the biodiversity crisis and why we are trying to give biodiversity a boost in the Druridge Bay area.
Entry is free.
