Running from Friday 24th November until Friday 15th December, the wildlife charity will be offering members of the public the chance to snap up bundles of bargains via its online shop www.nwt.org.uk/shop.

And, better still, there’s free postage and packaging for purchases over £30.00 from one minute after midnight on Friday 24th November until midnight on Tuesday 5th December.

Many shoppers jump on the Black Friday bandwagon only to regret their purchases later on. Last Christmas, it was estimated almost 23 million unwanted gifts ended up in landfill contributing to the already extensive waste generated throughout the holiday season.

However, by offering the free postage over four days and the Green Super Sale over 22 days, people have time to consider their purchases before clicking ‘buy.’

For the walkers there’s the Explore Northumberland Gift Set comprising three books that will take people on amazing walks, to geological sties and a Northumberland Wildlife Trust reserves guide with details on 48 nature reserves.  For bee lovers there’s the Bee-autiful Gardening Gift Set, a perfect gift for anybody wanting to turn their green space into a mini haven for wildlife with help from a wildlife gardening book and a seed ball tin gift box containing mixtures of seeds to attract pollinator friendly seeds.

The wildlife charity is also offering a number of ‘Quality Time’ bundles for families to enhance their wildlife watching in 2024.

From a garden bundle that includes an i-spy in the Garden book and concise Garden Wildlife Guide, a trees bundle that includes an i-spy Trees book and a concise Tree Guide and a seaside bundle that includes an i-spy at the Seaside book and concise Seashore Wildlife Guide to a bugs bundle containing an i-spy Creepy Crawlies book and concise Insect Guide and a birds bundle containing an i-spy Birds book and concise Bird Guide - there really is something for everybody.

As more and more people have turned to nature since Covid-19, the wildlife charity is busier than ever -ensuring its reserves are kept in pristine condition, therefore any money raised from the sale will give the Trust a much need cash boost.

Amy Richards, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Marketing Officer says:

“Over the past three years, nature has become much more important to everybody’s health and wellbeing, which, although great to hear, does mean our conservation efforts have more than doubled.

“By supporting our Green Super Sale, everybody is helping to keep our reserves in pristine condition for everybody to enjoy whilst they recharge their batteries… the natural way.”
