The Trail, which runs from Monday 20th July until Sunday 30th August is free and made possible thanks to players of the Postcode Lottery.

The downloadable trail takes participants to ten stopping points around the popular 26-hectare reserve, with each one offering fascinating facts about the wonderful wildlife residing there.

Along the way there is a fun packed quiz and a sticker for everybody upon completion, plus a 20% discount on prepared food and drink in the Lookout Café.

The generosity from the Postcode Lottery for the summer trail is hot on the heels of its sponsorship of a series of free Saturday wildlife walks at talks, again at the Druridge Bay reserve.

From the red squirrels of Northumberland and the roseate terns of Coquet Island to the rescuing and releasing of grey seals off the Northumberland coast - there’s something for everyone,

Alex Lister, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Druridge Bay Landscapes Manager says:

“The Wonderful Wildlife Summer Trail is a great way for everybody to find out more about the 26-hectare reserve and all the resident wildlife that call it home.

“Even better, the Trail is free of charge, and we can offer a discount in the café thanks to players of the Postcode Lottery. Such generosity will ensure that more people will be able to discover more about the wonders of the natural world on their doorstep.”
