About the event

Join us on a survey of some of the bogs of Garleigh Moor. Expect to find mosses, sundew and heathers alongside butterflies, moths, spiders and other creatures.

Learn how ecologists survey a bog, measure the depth of the peat and understand its inhabitants. Age 8+.

TERRAIN: Moderate. The survey takes place on a bog which is quite dry in August but very uneven. The walk to the bog includes unpaved paths and tracks and some obstacles. Please note our toilets have a step.
