About the event

Are you between the age of 18 and 30 and curious about what it means to be a charity trustee? Want to make a difference in your community but not sure where to start?

Join us for this engaging and informative Introduction to Being a Trustee session, designed to help you understand the vital role trustees play in the charity sector. Whether you're considering becoming a trustee or simply want to learn more, this session is the perfect starting point. The session is hosted by Connected Voice, in collaboration with Northumberland Wildlife Trust.

What you’ll learn

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Understand what a charity trustee is and what they do
  • Learn who can become a trustee
  • Explore brief key responsibilities of being a trustee
  • Discover the skills, knowledge, and experience that make a great trustee
  • Hear from an existing Young Trustee at a local Wildlife Trust about their role and advice.
  • Learn about an opportunity to become a Young Trustee at Northumberland Wildlife Trust.

Why should I attend?

Only 1% of trustees in the UK are under 30 – we want to change that! Your voice matters, especially if you're passionate about causes that affect young people.
