About the event

In this workshop, Urban Wildlife Community Gardener, Nick Figgis will demonstrate how human made open mosaic habitat creation can support an abundance of life, while beautifying our shared spaces and enriching our lives.

Participants will be guided through the process of creating a variety of habitats for invertebrates, birds and mammals by acting like beavers, wild boar and other keystone species missing from our present landscape. Dust off those winter cobwebs, roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, gaining practical knowledge about how you can make a positive difference.

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions on the day. Gloves will be available, but if you have your own, please bring them. Please book your free tickets to ensure enough PPE is provided.

No experience necessary, guidance and supervision will be provided.

16-17 year olds must have parental permission upon sign up.

This event is part of the Championing Nature Programme, made possible by the partnership between Wimbledon and Emirates.
