Men's Pie Club: Natural Ingredients with Northern Wilds

A rustic outdoor food spread displayed on wooden boards. There is a round loaf of bread with dark herbs baked into the crust, surrounded by assorted wild mushrooms. Nearby are jars of preserved vegetables, bottles of dark liquid (possibly oils or syrups), a long slice of bread topped with cooked mushrooms, and small piles of fresh berries and greens. Everything is arranged on a mossy forest surface.

About the event

Come and enjoy the fresh greens of Spring in an invigorating landscape full of Wild Food wonders at this time of year... you will experience a fascinating journey of discovery... not only is there an abundance of fresh green shoots to taste... but we can eat tree-leaves and flowers too! The day consists of a gentle walk and talk where you will learn about the vast wild food potential of our bountiful (and beautiful) landscape here in Northumberland. You will learn how to identify and prepare wild plants and then enjoy a wild food meal utilising the days finds.

Spring can still be chilly; please wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for a country walk. A water bottle is recommended.
