Mini bioblitz at Gallagher Park!

Three women, dressed in outdoor clothing, are crouched down in a field of tall grass, carefully examining the vegetation. They appear to be conducting a survey or study of the plants. The scene is peaceful and suggests a focus on nature and environmental observation.

About the event

Explore Gallagher Park in new ways and help us record as many plant and animal species as possible during our mini bioblitz. We'll have lots of ID books and equipment on hand to help, no expertise needed as we're here to assist!

This event is a drop in so you can join us for as much or as little of the day as you like, we'll have set timings to focus on specific habitats and of course a focus on our personal favourite (from a member of our red squirrel team so I am biased) the red squirrel with help from Bedlington and District Red Squirrel Group.

If you are joining us by car, car parking is free but has limited spaces so please park responsibly.

Please wear outdoor clothing suitable for the weather and sturdy shoes ready for exploring uneven ground in the meadow and wandering in the woods. No equipment required just bring yourselves!

Dogs are welcome.

This event is a drop in and booking is not required but if you know you are going to join us please sign up via eventbrite to help us keep track of numbers.
