Young Trustee Training Workshop: Roles, Responsibilities & Decision-Making

About the event
This in-person session is a follow-up to the Introduction to Being a Trustee online training. Whether you attended the first session or are joining us for the first time, this workshop will deepen your understanding of what it means to be an effective trustee.
Designed for 18- to 30-year-olds, we’ll recap key points from the introductory session and then dive into the practicalities of trustee roles, responsibilities, and how to make confident, collaborative decisions that benefit the organisation. The session is hosted by Connected Voice, in collaboration with Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
What you’ll learn
By the end of this 2-hour session, you will:
- Refresh your understanding of what a trustee is and does
- Explore the legal and practical responsibilities of trustees in more depth
- Understand how to contribute to effective and inclusive decision-making
- Learn about an opportunity to become a Young Trustee at Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
What to expect
This interactive workshop includes:
- A recap quiz to revisit key concepts from Workshop 1
- Group discussions and real-life scenarios
- Practical tools for making decisions as a board
