Over the past 26 years there has been much peat restoration on Whitelee Moor, but with over 750ha of blanket bog on the reserve there is still plenty to do!

Just over the watershed from Whitelee is the Kielder Wildwood, home to England’s last native population of Scot’s Pine.

At just over 1500ha with a boundary of over 10 miles, Whitelee Moor is our largest reserve, stretching from Catcleugh reservoir up to the Scottish border at Carter Bar.
