About the event

Improve your bird ID skills with Biodiversity Boost Project Officer, Lee Rankin, as we observe a variety of species in their winter finery and pick up extra tips to identify them by their seasonal plumage.

Even to seasoned birders this time of year is tricky for ID and is a great chance to deepen our understanding of the adaptations that help birds survive, and thrive, through winter.

We will walk the full circuit of Hauxley Nature Reserve (approx. 1.3 miles/2km), stopping at each hide.

Age 16+.
