About the event

Professor Pip Moore is a marine community ecologist with a long-standing passion for kelp forest ecology where she researches their structure, function and the ecosystems services they provide to humans. Considered a leading expert on kelp forests, she provided advice for Sir David Attenborough’s recent book to accompany the Ocean movie (she even has his autograph)!

This is an online, one hour talk over Zoom. Sit back and enjoy a talk from our marine expert, before joining in the discussion and asking any questions you might have.

You will need an internet connection strong enough to support livestreaming. Cameras are not necessary, and you will only need access to a computer mic should you wish to ask a question, alternatively you can type the question and the presenter can read it out.

Suitable for ages 16 years +

The Stronger Shores project is funded by Defra as part of the £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes which is managed by the Environment Agency. The programmes will drive innovation in flood and coastal resilience and adaptation to a changing climate.
