Following the return of the first osprey to Kielder on Friday 24th March, the first egg of the season was laid on Sunday 16th April on Nest 4.
It’s coming up to the time of year when wildlife lovers turn their eyes skywards and get ready to tune into the region’s annual soap opera.
The one hundredth osprey chick has successfully taken to the air in Kielder Water & Forest Park!
This summer could see the 100th osprey fledged in Kielder since the species’ reintroduction in 2009.
