Forestry England and British Airways join forces to protect ospreys
Endangered osprey chicks hatching in Northumberland's Kielder Forest can now be viewed online by the public as part of a major conservation fundraising drive.
As wildlife lovers in the region have their eyes to the skies eagerly awaiting the return of the Kielder osprey, plans are already in place to ensure Osprey Watch wings its way back.
Following the return of the first osprey to Kielder on Friday 24th March, the first egg of the season was laid on Sunday 16th April on Nest 4.
It’s coming up to the time of year when wildlife lovers turn their eyes skywards and get ready to tune into the region’s annual soap opera.
The one hundredth osprey chick has successfully taken to the air in Kielder Water & Forest Park!
