With its Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre’s Lookout Café closed until the government gives the go-ahead for visitor centres and cafes to reopen, it has donated hundreds of pounds worth of food including biscuits, cheese biscuits, crisps, vegetable crisps, cartons of juice, chocolate and snacks to Bedlington Station Primary School “Station Store” Food Bank for distribution amongst the local community.

Delivering the food, Anthony Johnston Bedlington resident and Druridge Bay Estates Officer says: “In these difficult time it’s all about communities, organisations and charities all pulling together. Many of the visitors to our Lookout Café come from the Bedlington area, so what better way to say thank you than to hand something back.

“We hope to see everybody back in our Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre very soon.”
