About the event

What to expect: Artists wishing to display and sell art are required to book a display easel in advance for £12 to reserve a spot. For more information on how to participate and booking please use the link to Billetto.

We anticipate the woodland walkways to be lined with easels and artwork that are open to members of the public to walk, view or buy art directly from artists.

Members of the public, children and family can attend free by simply wandering the woods around the Whittle Dene ruined mill area and taking part in the art activities.

There will be painting and collage activities for children in the central grass area. Children will be encouraged to contribute to a giant collage board replicating Thomas Eyre Macklin's famous 1904 painting of Whittle Dene Mill.

What to bring: Artists wishing to display and sell art will be emailed with a detailed inventory of what to expect and what to bring upon purchase of a ticket to book their personal easel. The event will be outdoors with limited cover.

Artists are advised to bring a large umbrella to shelter their work. You are welcome to bring additional works or creations to sell to visitors and passing members of public.

There will be refreshments available. Participants are advised to bring a packed lunch.

All art pieces brought into the woodland are brought in at the owners own risk and are the responsible of their owners. The CIC won't accept liability for the loss or damage of artist’s work.

Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

Access: Please note that the location for this exhibition is roughly 20 minutes’ walk from parking facilities and local transport connections. The ground is steep and uneven in places.

Please email us at info@whittledenecic.co.uk if you have any access requirements or if you have any other questions.

Book your spot today and we look forward to creating something special with you in Whittle Dene Woods!
