About the event

Demain, La Vallée / Tomorrow the Valley
Directed by Jérôme Prudent, 2024
French with English subtitles
PG rating

Demain, la vallée follows a valley farming community and the impact of climate change. The film retraces the journey of the European research project 'Just Scapes' in the Arac valley in Ariège. It gives citizens a voice about land use in the context of climate change.

The people who speak in the film range from livestock farmers to mayors; from vegetable farmers to artists; from newcomers to the area to people whose families have lived in the Arac Valley for generations. They speak about the use - and proposed uses - of their landscape in the face of climate change, as well as how they themselves live in and through this valley.

The film has also been selected for Alimenterre festival (Oct-Nov 2024) and for Terres Vivantes Comminges festival (August 2024).
